Eugene Levy Named one of EW’s “Entertainers of the Year”

Recognized for giving one of the most “iconic and unforgettable” performances of the year, ICM Partners is pleased to congratulate our client and multiple Emmy Award winner just this year alone, Eugene Levy, on this incredible honor.

2020 was of course a phenomenally successful year for Levy’s show Schitt’s Creek, which he co-created alongside his son Dan Levy, who is also included on the list of Entertainment Weekly’s 2020 Entertainers of the Year. In its sixth and final season, the Pop TV comedy broke records earlier this year when it won 15 Emmy Awards, including the award for Outstanding Comedy Series, making it the only basic cable show to have ever won in that category. Levy himself won Emmy awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Comedy Series. This past year also saw Levy win a Canadian Screen Award, a Gold Derby Award, and an award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series from the Online Film & Television Association.

In an exclusive interview with EW, Levy, who is featured on the magazine’s cover alongside Dan, hinted towards a possibility of future Schitt’s Creek spin-offs. “When you’re working with people that you absolutely love working with,” he added, “and the experience is so great, you do want to have that experience again.”
