ICM Partners Clients Receive Honors and Wins at the 77th Golden Globe Awards

The Golden Globe awards officially kicked-off the 2020 Awards season and it was a great night for many ICM Partners clients.

One of the night’s biggest moments was claimed by Ellen DeGeneres, who received the Carol Burnett Award.  What makes the honor even more special is that Ellen is the first recipient of the award other than its namesake, Carol Burnett, also an ICM Partners client, who was bestowed the award last year.  Ellen was recognized for her excellence both on and off the screen as the consummate comedienne and for the trailblazing path she has taken throughout her prolific career which has entertained, inspired and uplifted millions upon millions of people.

In continuing a phenomenal run of performances and sweeping wins, Olivia Colman received her third Golden Globe award for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in Netflix’s television drama, The Crown. Colman, who is co-represented with United Agents in the UK, previously received a Golden Globe award for her performance in the 2016 miniseries The Night Manager, and for her portrayal of Queen Anne in the 2018 film The Favourite.

An emotional and poignant speech was made by ICM Partners client Jared Harris, who accepted the award for Chernobyl’s win for Miniseries or Television Film.

The film 1917 had a thrilling victory as Best Motion Picture Drama, which was collected by Producer Callum McDougall.

Lastly, HBO’s hit series Succession won the award for Best Television Series Drama, a show that our client Cord Jefferson serves as a Consulting Producer for.

We congratulate all of the ICM Partners clients who took home both nominations and wins.
